Breast Augmentation

Through this surgical procedure, it is possible to enlarge breast volume, providing better cosmetic appearance. In some cases, this surgery is recommended for patients whose breasts are dyssimetrical so as to improve their appearance and correct the difference in the breast sizes.

The implant may be inserted behind the breast tissue or beneath your chest muscle, depending on each circumstance.

The patient may choose the area where the incision will be made since this decision will define the area where the remaining scar will be located. The incision can be made in your areola just above the crease, or in your armpit.

The type of anesthesia used will be discussed for each case, but it can be general, local or peridural and the surgery lasts approximately 1½ hours. The patient may be discharged from hospital on the same day of the surgery.
