Mammoplasty / Breast Reduction

This is a typical surgery performed in surgical centers and the purpose is to enhance the cosmetic appearance or reduce the volume of the breasts that may be causing back pain. This surgery is not only recommended for reducing breast volume but for removing the excess skin (ptosis) to adopt a new breast size to the personal features and forms.

Depending on the case, the scar will be different shapes: areolar, L- or T-shape (inverted).

The procedure can also be combined with a silicone implant in cases where there is excess skin laxity or little breast tissue.

This procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia with the staff’s anesthesiologist and lasts 2 h. The patient may be discharged from the hospital on the same day or stay in the hospital overnight.
