This is one surgery. Liposuction is a technique that helps sculpt the body’s curves and this reason it is also referred to as liposculpture.
In this procedure, the fat layers located in the hip, inner thigh, knee, waist and other fatty areas are suctioned off with specific cannulas. In patients that have a depression, it is possible to reintroduce fat to correct these areas.
The final result will not be immediately apparent in the post-operative period due to swelling, but within 15 days to 3 months (depending on individual factors) the results will be visible since the body will have absorbed all the fluids injected during this procedure.
The time required to perform liposuction may vary considerably from 1 ½ to 3 hours depending on the type of anesthesia or whether or not the procedure is performed together with another procedure.
